WWW: You’ve basically got no work on your blog: a poster for Frozen with some very brief analysis and literally nothing else. Do we have the right blog link? Is your work somewhere else? I really hope there’s an explanation for this.

EBI: You clearly need to ensure all missing work is on your Media blog urgently. It’s common to have blog issues in the first couple of weeks (perhaps your work is in drafts and needs to be published?) but if you don’t complete work in Media you will fail the course – it is as simple as that. You must remember that 60% of the GCSE is coursework – if you’re not willing to complete the work then we need to urgently find you an option that is 100% exam based. The work you need to post: the opening 10 questions task; a completed LIAR film poster analysis; Fruit bowl; Camerawork photo storyboard pictures and analysis; Minority Report shot-by-shot analysis.

LR: Complete and post all missing work urgently. Then, reflect on your first month of Media. What do you feel is your strongest piece of work so far? What is your weakest? What specific skills or knowledge do you need to develop over the rest of the course?

photo shots

This is a wide/establishing shot. we have taken the shot like this so the audience can see what is actually going on. From the other shots the scene becomes more understanding.

This is a high angle-long shot photo. we have taken the picture like this so it makes the character look weak, scared and small. the use of a long shot is to show the audience that he is alone.

This is a low angle shot, we used this shot to show the audience the details on the character. we have taken the picture from a low angle shot to show that the character is a powerful.

This is a also a low angle shot, we used this shot to show the audience the details on the character. we have taken the picture from a low angle shot    to show that the character is a powerful.

This is a also low angle shot, we used this shot to show the audience the details on the character. we have taken the picture from a low angle shot to show that the character is a powerful.

Low angle medium shot- All three characters together in a medium shot helps the audience get to know the   characters even better as they are able to see their     facial expression in more detail. The fact that all three of them are in another low angle shot reassures their   dominance, power and fear.

Over the shoulder shot- This shot is used to show the audience a conversation between two characters is      taking place. As previously the boy has appeared to    look timid and shy and the girl appeared to be big and  powerful the audience starts to feel fearful for the boy  as it is inevitable that something bad is going to          happen.

Here we have used a low angle wide shot to show the
aftermath of the previous events. The female     character is shown leaving the scene nonchalantly     whilst leaving the victim on the ground; this adds to     the story line that is conveyed to the audience.

This final image shows the two other female characters following the first, again leaving the victim   on the floor to show the whole happening was planned during the images that were shown before to show       structure in the story line. We used the same low         angle wide shot as before in order to show the             audience that once again the three female characters   are united against the male character and feel no guilt.
